Does anyone know how to make this recipe? I know you soak the cabbage for a week.

Not sure how Romanians make it but here is the Hungarian version my husband's family uses.... Enjoy!
Hungarian Galushka
½ stick margarine or butter
16 oz sour cream
1 # noodles cooked & drained
8 oz. cream cheese cut into small pieces
16 oz dry cottage cheese (regular works fine as well)
Melt margarine & sour cream in dutch oven or large fry pan. Cook over medium high heat until sour cream develops small beads & browns. Take off heat before fully brown to keep from burning the sour cream.
Put cooked/drained noodles on top of the margarine & sour cream mixture in the pan coat well by stirring.
Add cream cheese & cottage cheese stir to mix in
Reduce heat slightly & cover to allow the cheeses to melt.
Will take sufficient salt to bring out the flavors so often is best to allow each person to season to taste.
My husbands version
1lb Bacon-cut up & fried
egg noodles
cottage cheese (large container)
boil noodles, drain noodles and then add bacon AND ALL the grease from bacon, stir in cottage cheese. YUM
