How can I get replacement gaskets for these square vintage jars (maybe Anchor). I've searched high and low. All I find is the flat seals (like orange ones) on Amazon which don't fit these jars. I've tried rubber bands too. I need those which have a lip on the side of the seal so that it vacuum seals it. I recently bought about 7 jars, thinking I could just replace the plastic seal, but now I'm sad that these will never be airtight.

Your jars ARE Anchor Hocking. I can't find a source for new gaskets without knowing the diameter needed. You can look at this site for info on your jars, just not lid seals....

Yours are Anchor Hocking Wexford glass apothecary jars. Let us know seal diameter needed, and maybe we can find replacements for you. The photo of the lid with seal look like the lid and seal from a decorative Mr. Peanut glass jar.
The lid on the link you provided is different than the lid in the picture. The only reason I know this is I have the exact jar somewhere from my mom's estate. It's hexagonal, I think.
But it might be a newer version of the same pattern and the rest of your advice is sound. I hope with more information, we can help with the gaskets.
Your jars are Anchor Hocking Wexford glass apothecary jars and they do not have flat gaskets like most jars or canisters have;
their seal is a sort of full 'plastic' looking seal.
Take a look at the jars here and see if they are similar to yours but may be larger. Look at the type of seal they have.

You can try contacting Anchor Hocking to see if they are available.

You could try a wide rubber band if you cannot find a gasket.
Your best bet is to search Etsy and eBay for replacement lids (the searches I use when I need things like this are replacement lid and the name of the jar and the phrase "lid only".
They come up all the time. I am not sure if this is the right one, but someone has a lid only on Etsy www.google.com/
I have also found lids dirt cheap at my local Goodwill/Salvation Army. Sometimes I have to buy a broken cannister to get it...but it is so cheap it is worth it.
If you have friends at the thrift stores, you can ask them to save you the lids if they get unable to sell broken cannisters. They usually offer them up pretty inexpensively when they do this.
The good news is this there were tons of these made so you should come up with a lid pretty quickly!
Thanks for clarifying, Jess. I was using it more of an example of how people advertise lids--with the hope it could be correct, but I was not sure.
One last thought...there are several Anchor Hocking Facebook groups. Check their rules--some of them allow you to place requests for parts...and you could ask if someone has the lid and no jar.
Good luck with your quest!
Yours is correct, the other post by gggd has the different tops. I imagine it was an earlier version as the tops appear to be blown rather than pressed glass.
Sure wish I could find my jar. :)
You can buy seals /gaskets at a lot of the online sites. Some very reasonable for replacement. They even have the glass jar lids offered for sale, but maybe cheaper to replace the seals.
I bought one off of Ebay. I just would check each day, it only took me a couple of second and I think the 3rd or 4th day there the lid was with a great gasket. Just keep checking around and it will show up.
