In the age of email we have the ability to get coupons straight from the restaurant we want to visit. Sign up for email clubs and birthday clubs that restaurants in your area offer. Red Lobster sends out a birthday coupon and other $ off meal coupons throughout the year. Budgets are tight so enjoy dinning out and saving.
Lone Star Steakhouse is a good restaurant to sign up with! I got a free entree (up to $15 value) via email on my birthday.

I also found a GREAT site, www.restaurants.com Enrollment is free, all you do is enter your zip, see which restaurants you would like to visit, and you can buy gift certificates for 50% off. For Example: I buy 25$ gift certificate for $12.50. Plus sometimes they have sales, where they are $6.25. (75% off). You print the gift certificates right from your computer.
Red Robin and Cold Stone Creamery also send you coupons on your birthday :)
