I need help with math homework.
Two integers are _____if they have the same absolute value, but different signs.
By lala002
Hold it! If you do not know how to work the problem, get your teacher to show you how. Then you won't need to ask. That is the point of the whole thing. To teach you to solve the problems yourself.
Hi! I had to ask my husband then I helped him to solve the problem. An absolute value is the number in question but in positive form, therefore -153 absolute value is 153 which would have been equal to the positive 153. Your answer would have been, "The two integers would be equal if they have the same absolute value yet having different signs." I never thought of using this site for homework help.
Two integers are OPPOSITE if they have the same absolute value but different signs eg.. +2 & -2
Yahoo Answers is good for this sort of quick question -- you can get answers or help, and usually correct! Within minutes.
I used to teach grade 7 & 8 math.

I am having trouble with statistics and need help. I would like to ask someone I know, but they are just as clueless as I am. If anyone can help, please dumb it down for me to understand. My stats teacher sent us this:
I am using the program Statcrunch and I still don't know what to do. Help!
I shudder when I think about taking statistics in college. I might have been able to do this about 40 years ago, but not anymore. Does your school have a math lab where you can go for extra tutoring?
I used to teach college English and I held office hours for my students to come for extra help. Please don't hesitate to go to your teacher and ask for help--that's what we're there for.
I was peer tutoring in the psychology department at the same time I was going for my own peer tutoring in the math department. Once you get it, statistics will click for you.
Hint--if you need to have formulas memorized for a quiz, before you even look at the questions/problems, write those formulas down at the top of the page. It's easy to panic and forget the formulas, but you'll have them at your fingertips this way.
Now my son is going to grad school for statistics--go figure!
Ask your teacher if he/she has open hours where you can get assistance or one on one tutoring.
I need help with math, specifically how to do a problem using formulas.

You don't what type of math you are doing. Is it trig, algebra, calculus or something else. However, just go to google and type in solving the type of math you are looking for.
I need to make two names up and I am absolutely hopeless. First of all, I am doing a school assignment and I am pretending to work for a graphic design company and I need to think of a name for that.
Also, in my assignment I need to make up a new upcoming band that is going to ask the graphic design company to help them advertise, so I need a name for that as well.
I will be grateful for your help!

I wonder why you are asking any American. None of us understand Australians.
For the business how about "Creatively Yours"? There is a local band here that has a really cute name: P.S. Dump Your Girlfriend, how about something funny like that?
Come off it, Tomatohanger. We all enjoy poking our noses in! (Sorry Gemma, I'm no good at names either.)
Marg from England.
We have a company here called "Graphic Designs." Or you could go with something like "Design-o-Graph" or "Perfect Designs". Depending on the type of band they could be called "The Grungers," "The Outbackers," "The Stralians," "Angels and Stralies," "The Rockers".
How about Graphic Gems by Gemma or Gemma's Graphic Gems? That tells who and what you are.
The band is a whole different matter. What kind of band is it? Rock, probably.
I really feel for you because graphic design truly kicked my a#% when I was in art school
Good name for graphics design businesses often incorporate adjectives that have to do with innovation, vision, beauty, elegance, etc. a lot depends on your particular aesthetic. If you're more into elegance, go for that. But if you know your visual style is more eclectic, go for that. Look up says only some to your main visual style
So you have the adjective, then pair it with a noun (once again get your thesaurus) that suggests concepts, branding, brand, image, etc.
As for the band, pretty much any old bollocks will do, if you think about it
Good luck!
