I have trumpet vines everywhere. Is there anyway to stop them?

I am sorry to tell you but the only way to get rid of trumpet creeper is to dig it out. I have been battling trumpet creeper for almost 20 years. Last year, when I realized I could not with this war, I spent $33,000 and I eventually won. I paid an excavation company to come in and dig out my whole yard and replace it with new topsoil. In some places, they had to dig 10 feet deep to get rid of the runners/roots. It was crazy, to say the least. My whole yard was basically one big breeding ground for trumpet creeper.

this all started when my grandpap planted it for my grandmother because she thought it was beautiful. Eventually he planted a total of 6 trumpet creepers. They basically took over the whole yard underground. But now that they are all dug out, I have a brand new yard with new dirt and no more trumpet creeper shoots everywhere or anywhere. Who won this war? I did. But al in all, between the excavation company and the landscapers, I had to spend $33K. But at least I won...I think.
