How do I get rid of drug store beetles? They are referred to here as tiny brown bugs on kitchen countertops.

From my entomologist husband:
Throw out ALL opened and UNOPENED (MOST PANTRY BUGS COME HOME FROM THE STORE WITH YOU!!!) flours, grains, cereals, nuts etc.

Clean the entire pantry to kill eggs.
In the future-place every new flour, cereal, nuts, etc., in the freezer for 24 hours-this will kill all bugs and their eggs inside the packages. Place all frozen and then opened cereals, etc., in storage bags, jars, plastic containers, etc.
