Don't get rid of centipedes or millipedes! They eat other bugs! I have lots of millipedes in my garden. When I come across one in my digging around, I pick him up and put him in some other place. These are the good guys!

But.....have you ever been bitten by a centipede? You might change your opinion (Millipedes are cool, they don't bite) I live in Hawaii and the first time I was bitten it felt like someone stabbed my foot w/an icepick and ended up in the E.R. because my leg swelled, turned red and was hot, gave me a fever and couldn't work for 2 days.

My cats find them all the time, I will catch them w/a plastic jar and release them outside....but when I see one~I FREAK-OUT, literally and I will hyperventilate and shake until I catch it, you can't let them get away under furniture etc. Oh God, I really hate them! I shudder to think if one bites my toddler or pets, YUCK~ICKY~POO!!!

Okay, after answering your question, I saw another question further down asking the same thing only she said hers were in the bathroom. I had assumed your centipedes were in the garden. If your centipedes are in the house, ignore what I said. For inside the house, try a humidifier. Centipedes like moisture. You also should seal any cracks coming through from the outside.

I have them in my bed, couch, closets, and chairs, I have the electronic plugins, spray and keep the lights on. They seem to be more aggressive.

You need a de-humidifier not a humidifier to get rid of moisture.

Clorox bleach and insecticides used to kill insects can and will bite the bigger the centipede the more the bite hurts

You can kill them manually. Get rid of clutter. They also don't like boric acid or food grade diatomaceous earth.
