I have been suffering from something in my hair. It has been 1 year now and I have been going through hell. It started in June of 2019 and is still going now. When I first started experiencing something moving on my head was right after me having scabies. I was treated for scabies twice. I don't know how I got scabies, but I did. After my skin started to clear up I started to feel like something was crawling on my scalp so of course I told my family, but no one wanted to believe me so I tried a Nix treatment and after doing that I started to see bugs come out my hair. I freaked out crying. I live alone so I called my family to tell them what I was experiencing and still no one wanted to believe me. They kept saying African American people don't get lice cause that's what I thought it was. So as I continue to comb them out my nerves are all over the place so I go days of doing this but things was getting no better. I am washing clothes and bedding everyday, wiping things down, and I vacuum everyday for at least three months straight. I am just a nightmare, getting no sleep, bathing constantly, working with no rest while trying to deal with it. I have been to the emergency room four times. Each time the doctors say they don't see anything. This causes me to fall into a deep depression, so as time goes on I stop eating, sleeping, and drinking. I was losing my mind. My family kept saying they don't see anything on my head. I started to take pictures and they would still keep saying I don't have anything in my hair. I had a nervous breakdown trying to prove to them that I'm not crazy and there is some on my head. I have tried every over the counter shampoo and even seen a dermatologist and he prescribed ivermectin. It did not work. I'm so exhausted for trying everything. I cut all my hair off my head, my hair is to my scalp and it's still on my head moving around. I think I need someone to shave my head completely bald cause I'm tired of going through this. I have tried every over the counter shampoo, ivermectin, permethrin, olive oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil, neem oil, mayonnaise, and conditioner. Nothing is working. I'm so emotionally, physically, and mentally drained I don't know what to do anymore. I cry every night. I need help and the doctors aren't helping.

I went through all of this for 5 years. My child was misdiagnosed with scabies and the family was given prescription ivermectin cream. After the first 24 hour treatment I started itching and feeling creepy crawling all over me. I went back to the doctor and was instructed to put the creme on and leave it for 48 hours. At this point Im wanting to rip my skin off I feel crawling, pinching, itching everywhere. Went back to the doctor and they said theres no way we can put that chemical creme on you again. Saying I reached my limit for a lifetime. At this stage I Started getting lesions that were very painful and kind of look liked pimples but whatever was inside set my skin on fire when I squeezed it and would leave a pretty nasty sore. So I was given antibiotics and steroids. And stayed on that rotation for well over a year being told I had severe acne. Now mind you I lost most of my hair not bald but like it rested too soon and a whole bunch came out at once so my hair was thin curly and different growth lengths were obvious. just really unhealthy looking all over. I would also see black specs, lint bugs (I called them that because lint normally doesnt bite you )etc ... pretty much everything I read about Morgellons matched exactly to what I was going through even down to Dr. reactions. long story short everyone thought I was crazy, Ive been kicked out of the dermatologist office because they thought I was on meth!!! No one believed me, my whole family thought I was going crazy and I was so close to ending my life. I just decided to get the courage to make one last doctor appointment ( if you are going through this you know how scary that is at this stage ) and start with a brand new doctor once again... He listened and didnt judge me. I didnt give him any other doctor history I made him start with a clean slate. I wanted zero chance of him calling my normal Dr and getting his opinion of me. I said Ive been suffering from this for five years and thats as far as I went with that information. I was given a referral to an amazing dermatologist. He was specialized in infectious disease. The following week I was able to get in to that dermatologist. So he looked at all my lesions and asked me to not touch them for five days no matter what and sent me away with some steroid cream to calm my touch sense. I could literally feel a piece of lint fall on my skin, Very sensitive and very aware In a very unhealthy way.
What a nightmare! Thank you for sharing your story. Its horrible that you suffered for so long. I ordered Ivermectin & Permethrin cream online recently from a pharmacy in MX. Im afraid to take them w/out a prescription or under the care of a Dr. Im getting desperate though. My hair is falling out. Im certain its some type of infection deep in the follicles or maybe even some type of parasite/mites in my scalp may e Im paranoid, but it feels like something is crawling or moving through my hair. Its as if something is eating away at my hair.
Head lice? It can happen to anyone. I just joined and feel real bad for you.
Scabies? I never heard of anything like this before.

OMG. If this works, you saved me. I read your post and it is me to a tee. Everyone thinks I am crazy, yet I have the bites and scars to prove it. What are they thinking. Small insects fly around my head constantly. I have tried everything. Not even worth writing about. I wear a baseball cap to protect. No use. It has been over 18 months. 2 doctors and a dermatologist later, nothing but useless antibiotics and pharma creams B.S. I am planning to shave my head if this doesn't work. Going crazy. Spent countless money and time for nothing. Cant socialize or anything. How could I? I finally read about Morgellons. It is me!!! Oh dear God in heaven, you just described my life the past 3 years. Please help me to know what to do. I don't wanna live anymore. I'm exhausted. The only difference in our cases is that I was on an antifungal after the first year for at least a month or so. It was prescribed for yeast overgrowth on skin but it didn't help and here I am still, years later. Been treated for scabies. An ER Dr and PCP said scabies but at least 6 derms said dermatitis or eczema and one clown even said I was crazy and imagining bugs coming out of skin and purposely making sores on my body myself.. I forgot the exact DX for it that she spewed out at me. That's when I knew I was on my own and would possibly not make it outta this at all. Like you, it started with insane itchy scalp and worked it's way down my face, neck and body and it's been going back and forth that same way all this time.
Have you ever tried to use lice shampoo? Allow it to sit in your hair for 30 minutes to 1 hour before washing your hair. It almost sounds like you may have a very bad case of dandruff in your hair. You may need to repeat the application every 2 days in order to get them all out of your hair. There are times when bed bugs can also get into the hair and also this can happen with fleas and ticks too. I know here families fight with fleas and lice in the kids hair and most of the time they use apple cider vinegar in the hair to get rid of this and keep them away. I also know that lemon is a good one to keep bugs off of animals and also you. You can try a few of these to see if it can help you.
Yes I have tried literally everything there is to try my scalp is so damaged now I have deep dents in my scalp and its always feeling numb now I just want some type of help I havent lived normal since June of 2019 Im tired

You just described my life for the last year! I have photographic evidence as well as video. I call it my descent into madness! It started October 2019. I had long thick curly hair and now it is thin brittle and I've lost almost all my curl. No one believes me. Its ruined my life. I fixate on trying to find answers but there are none. Ive been dealing with the same problem, I started taking ivermectin enough for a 250lb horse you can pick it up at the feed store or online its a lot cheaper on horse.com I take it for two days in a row once a week I also use permethrin lotion you can also get it at the feed store I wash my bedding everyday and spray everything with rid spray or 91% alcohol and eucalyptus essential oil mixed in a spray bottle I take a bath in bleach and Epsom salt with tea tree essential oil and and wash head to toe with rid lice shampoo you can leave the rid on you overnight and comb through your hair with the lice comb several times keep all your used dirty clothing ect. bagged up and wash In hot water with extra borax and dry on high heat for and extra 20 min. What's helped me the most is the IVERMECTIN it takes a few days and you'll start to feel so much better! I hope this helps.
This is my life. I havent had hair in half a year yet somehow these tiny bugs manage to weave it into a matted mess. Im so defeated, I dont go out or see people, and they hurt when they bite

My dog was just matted due to his hair getting so long and having to wait to get him into the groomer he has been IN so much agony. Ive never seen anything like this. On time I actually felt like quite a few went in my eye && when I looked at my eye for about 3 to 4 minutes I then saw a black dot in my eyeball that FREAKEN walked from under my eyelid to where my eye-color begins in my eye and then he went back under the lid. Im sorry to gross anybody else but I am desperate and I just want to fix this no Buddy nobody deserves this to happen to them its my worst fear coming true. I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy.

I also have elongated dents in my head. I have been dealing with same creepy crawling with stinging and burning affliction since February of 2020. I initially thought lice, Then treated for scabies and it got worse. One dermatologist found a winged insect in my head but because his lab couldnt identify it, he wouldnt treat me. Now I have dents. Did you ever get a diagnosis?
This is the worst thing I have ever gone through!!! I have bugs EVERYWHERE!! It is embarrassing because they pop out of my skin. I feel like I am going crazy. I cry all the time. I go to the doctor and they just do not care. I tried everything. I am hoping someone can please help!! My husband does not believe me and my family does not know what to do. What type of vacuums are you guys using? Sounds like a strange question but I ask because me and my aunt have been dealing with the same thing, and I have a vacuum that blows its exhaust right on my face and in narrowing down the options of what could be causing this, its what Ive concluded to be the culprit. Weve done the whole go to the doctor gotten diagnosed with scabies, took the cream, THREE times, did absolutely nothing! Cleaned washed disinfected everything, still not gone. Its not contagious because no one we go around gets it, they just think were nuts. I started to notice that after vacuuming the other day, I almost immediately felt the army of creepy crawly bugs all over my face! Then I read on here the women who say that they complain to there husbands and their husbands just think they are crazy....why are the wives itchy but not the husbands? Could it be because the husbands are vacuuming? Lol I know I sound ridiculous, but ANYTHING is possible! And were miserable over here with this problem!

I too have something in my hair and it goes in my ears eyes nose mouth,, they paralyze my feet. They are all over me and are ruthless. Nothing kills them. I've been for blood work, taken different meds, used creams, had a swab and blood smere done
I am referred to see a dermatologist but its not until June. I've been to emergency. Basically Im on my own. My bf thinks I've lost my mind. He makes stupid jokes.
My feet go through extreme pain which makes it hard to walk little own shower when I want to.
I have done an extreme amount of research on what these could be.
The closest thing I can find is the assassin bug/ kissing bug. They look like lint but can appear as very tiny black dots. When they fly they look like a dust particle. I started to watch and you know when it's not dust when it doesn't land. I've tried everything and these things don't die.
I did read online that pyrethroids can work but I tried a product and it didn't phase them.
I had my Dr search my hair thinking I had lice. Used two bottles of nix. Didn't work. She prescribed medication, creams, a dewormer, run tests, nothing was showing.
I have tons of pictures of the skin changes. I take pics of my hair and ears, I do see insects in my hair in the pictures and I get so freaked out I don't wanna move.
I got mad one afternoon and tilted my head forward yelling get out of my hair, running my hands through my hair. My hair is very fine. Anyways I regretted doing that, they came back worse. I'm lost as to how to get rid of them and trying to get someone to believe me. They don't bother my bf just me.

Omg! You are telling my exact story. I thought I was the only one. Except my family, friend and doctors also thought I may be on drugs too, but I'm not. Other than that, I'm having the same lifestyle as you. NOTHING works! If you find any relief please let me know. Oh! The Dr even put me on psychotic meds. Says it's psychosis
I too am suffering with these things, sulfur soap with salt or grapefruit scrub brings them up from under the scalp.,. I think you will need to soak in the sulfur bath. Because it was getting better when I did that previously there were thousands of of crap that came out of my body then. While you are in the bath tub them off/out of your body. I had not been doing the baths because I did not have access to a tub
