Mix up baking soda and powdered sugar, put in a plastic lid, put the lid where the ants are coming in (their trail.) What will happen is, ants love sugar, they will pick it up on their feet and take it back to their nests, when they eat it and feed it to other ants their stomachs will explode when the baking soda is injested and mixes with their stomach acids. Works like a charm and neither ingredient is harmful to pets who might injest it.
If they're white, I think they're termites, not ants.
Mix powdered sugar with baking soda. Put in low sided plastic lid, put where the ants are coming in or their trail. The ants will carry this mixture back to their nests on their feet to feed their babies.
I've never heard of white ants. Are you sure they're not termites?
