There is a large snake about five feet long living under my deck and is responsible for death of one of my dogs. I have new rescue who smells snakes. How do I get rid of the snake? It maybe a water moccasin.

Call your local animal control office. If you are right about the kind of snake, you do not want to tackle this on your own. If you are outside and sense that the snake is near, then call 911.

I always heard car/auto batteries would repel snakes... don't know for a fact though. Good luck!
Mothballs or crystals will keep them away. Just throw them under deck as far as you can and around deck. I've used them and they do work and they are cheaper than Snake A Way.
I do not know how to spell, but I use suffer. Go to a garden and seed store ask for garden suffer. get a knee high stocking and put some in the stocking.
