I recently had a partial put in and it doesn't fit flush with the roof of my mouth. Is this correct? My dentist said it was.

How do the teeth feel. Can you eat comfortably in them? Those are the things that will determine if the dentures are a good fit.
How long has it been? It may take a little adjusting to get used to. But if its irritating or you do not feel comfortable, definitely make an appointment with your dentist to follow up.
Check back with the place that made it and they can give you a quick check that they are seating correctly in your mouth. These can take a while to get used to and get comfortable with since your mouth is not used to it...but don't wait to long as you don't want to get blisters and such if it is not comfortable.
Hopefully the maker/dentist will be helpful and will work with you!!
Post back with an update!! Prayers and good wishes to you!!!
Dental problems are common but it would be difficult for a dentist to say they supplied a partial that did not fit.
Have you had your check up after getting the partial?
How long has it been?
Are you having problems with eating?
Does food get lodged under the plate?
It does take time for you and your mouth to adjust to a new partial especially if the 'space' had been 'vacant' (no teeth in that area) for some time.
Think about these questions and post your question on one of these dental forums. Be sure to read before you post as I have not checked all of these out and it may be possible one or more may charge a fee to talk to a dentist.
