My son got Silly Putty on his new jeans and so I used WD-40 on them and it worked. I soaked the jeans in the sink and then washed them separately in my washer, but I still cannot get that smell out. What can I use to get the smell out?

Saturate the pants in Nok-Out, available on Amazon.
My grandmother always used Lysol to get the smell of grease, oil, and WD40 out of my grandpas clothes and it worked so well. It also removed the stains on the clothes too.
Try spreading a layer of baking soda on where the stain was and the smell is coming from. Spray it to get it just damp and let it sit in the sun for a few hours. Repeat until the smell is gone.
Don't dry them in the dryer until the smell is gone or it may set.
OxyClean does wonders!
Vinegar works for everything
Add half a cup of salt, half a cup of baking soda, and half a cup of vinegar to your washer then add your regular laundry soap and wash on a longer cycle and maybe rinse twice. This always works for me when trying to get hard smells out of clothing.
