My amazing boyfriend's birthday is coming up. I have an idea for a gift, but I need to know if it's a good idea. So my idea, was to get a picture of us having our first kiss. Then frame it in a nice frame. Is that a good idea? Or should I add something else to this gift?

This is a nice idea but not really a good photo to use. Many parents will frown on this idea and will not like it very much at all. It is hard when your kids grow up and this is just a reminder of it all. I would try another photo in the frame if this is what you want to give him.
Usually public displays of affection are good for private stuff :) I'd frame a different one. You could also get something like personalized bracelets etc, to show your affection
This is not a great idea. His parents wont like it. A more appropriate photo of you two is a better idea.
Do you perhaps have a different picture to use for the frame?
The kissing picture could be something you send him via text message and decorate from a free creative app with emoji or add your greeting text on it.
So to me the gift part of this is not the issue. A photo of you kissing may not be parents friendly, but he doesn't have to show it to them, and if it were to be photographed it would have to be staged and someone around with a camera. Selfie kisses are not usually successful.
That said, getting the photo would be a big production as I see it. If you haven't had your first kiss yet, staging a first kiss for a photo is not very romantic and could ruin the moment and totally freak him out at worst or he may just wonder what the heck is up with the photo. This all sounds like a way to get him to kiss you.
A first kiss with someone should be special and just happen, organically, not a photo op.
As to a gift, maybe do something special and sweet, so the first kiss will just happen, like go skating or be a tourist in your town, or go out for a special meal.
Post back what you decide!
