I am making a large display case and need to know what is best for gluing glass to glass. The case will be 4 ft long, 3 ft high by 18 inches deep. As can be seen by the dimensions this will need to be strong. I need to make about 20 cases of differing sizes.

I have successfully used E 6000 Craft Glue when making glass art projects. It dries clear and makes a very strong bond after completely dry. It can be found at most retail stores such as Walmart. I've uploaded pictures of only a couple of Glass Angels I've made.
You might need the glass sealant they sell for aquariums. Should be strong enough for your display boxes too.
There is a adhesive that works with heat from uv rays to cure it is used to glue bevels on sliding glass doors and is permanent Ive seen it in stained glass catalogs or the local hardware store can order if its not in stock.
Hi There,
E 6000 works, but you have to use fine sandpaper to sand the glass where you are glueing it together. Wear gloves. I know this because I watched my friend glue together a mason jar and a candle stand to make red neck wine glasses. Here are some photos of what E 6000 glue looks like:
