When I started having to eat gluten free, one of the things I missed most was homemade biscuits. Not any more since I came up with this recipe. When I bake a batch, my husband and I have them for that meal. He loves them, however, I freeze the remainder and pull them out 2-3 at the time and heat them up for myself only. No more sharing with him. He has to eat his own bread, which is whole wheat.
Total Time: Mix ingredients together while preheating the oven.

I purchase Betty Crocker Gluten Free Bisquick from Wal-mart. It is in same section as the regular Bisquick.

Im not sure that using Diet Mountain Dew is a good idea. It contains aspartame and that dangerous when consumed warm.
Thank you for that information. I researched it on line and only found that with a lot of heat aspartame will lose it's flavor but still safe to eat. I'll try the regular Mt. Dew the next time I bake them. Thanks.
You don't have to have a hot dog bun to enjoy hot dogs with everyone else. Just take a couple of these gluten free biscuits and cut them in half. Top them with a hot dog, mustard, chilli and onions and you will will have the taste of a good old fashion hot dog even if you do have to eat it with a fork.
Hungry for something really yummy that's gluten free? Cut open one of these biscuits and top it with some hot fried apples. Delicious!
i'm really intrigued by the use of mountain dew in baking. What is it for, the carbonation? some special compound in it? also would it work well wiht any other soda or seltzer?
