My 11 year old daughter has two boar guineas that are very tolerant of each other, but not of their other roommates... gnats, gnats, and more gnats! I have tried everything from vinegar to hairspray to over the counter pesticides (not sprayed near the cage of course!) Help! Surely something can get rid of them! Thank you.

Something in the cage is attracting them. Scrub the cages, food containers, water bottles, all out. Dispose outside of any dirty liter. It may just be that the cages are not kept clean enough.
Ive done this for a long time, they still wont go away i have four Guinea Pigs and i have been cleaning there cages every day,on every break i have and i have been cleaning my room daily is there anything else that would help?
Put a bowl of apple cider vinegar, water, a little sugar and a few drops of Blue Dawn next to the cage. They will drown in there.
I have been fighting the gnat problem for 5 years now. I have 2 guinea pigs. I found what works...wine. I save my old wine bottles and put a small amount of wine in the empty bottles with a drop of dish soap.
Whitch wine? Red or white.? I really wanna try it. And should i put the bottle next to ginnie pig cage??
