I'm needing some suggestions for a high school parade float for a golf team. The mascot is Eagles. I have never done this before, I'm a novice and need some tips and ideas.

How about a green with a couple of holes and wackily dressed golfing Eagles, maybe with names on their shirts like: Eagle (naturally) Birdie, Duffer etc. associated with gold. They could pretend to play and use exaggerated moves etc.
I agree with Mary Lou...big costumed eagle/s (maybe a big nest?)
They could hit some of those light weight hollow practice balls out into the crowd. The balls could have writing on them in magic marker...Fortunes, cute sayings, jokes or even a contest on them. Invite the winning ball recipient to call or email somewhere for some small prize or a free golfing lesson? Or if you could get a better prize, PROMOTE it ahead of time for more enthusiasm at your float!!
