I hate to tell you, but that is NOT a chipmunk. Chipmunks have stripes and are more golden and brown. I think your photo is of a ground squirrel or gopher.
Maybe so . . . thank you for correcting.
I live in AZ and that is a ground squirrel/antelope squirrel. Still cute little fellows.
I googled the little creature and I think you are right. I'm going to change the title to be more accurate.
