Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts Cowls are so nice, especially for kids. Why? They lose them a lot less often! :) When not looped snug around their neck, they can hang loosely and not fall off. This is an easy cluster stitch that will add nice texture to your cowl. Stay warm!
**Easily adjusted for adult size by working a few more rows.
Total Time: About 2 1/2 hours
Supplies:
- "K" crochet hook
- about 250 yards #4 worsted weight yarn
- scissors
- embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Steps:
- Ch 20.
- Dc3tog in 4th ch from hook, *ch 1, skip 1 ch, dc3tog in next ch, repeat from*.
- Ch 3, turn. Skip 1st dctog, *dc3tog in ch space, ch 1, skip dctog, repeat from*, dc3tog in space between turn ch and last stitch.
- Repeat last step 60 times more, or until desired length. This one is a total of 53 3/4" long before being joined and 7 1/2" wide.
- Ch 1, place ends together.
- Work 19 sc through both thicknesses. Fasten off and weave in ends.
- You can't even see the seam on the right side! :)
- All done.
- Cozy.
- Warm.
