Silver Answer Medal for All Time! 424 Answers I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. My cherry tomato plants are nice and green, but so are the cherry tomatoes. Is it too late in the year for them to turn red before we get the first frost?

You can bring them inside if it gets cold. They will get red if you put them on a windowsill or on the counter in a paper bag.

Thank you for your post. I picked them before the 1st frost . Did both of what you suggested and am now enjoying fresh ripe cherry tomatoes. !!

It took 3-4 weeks to mature to green.. maybe another 3-4 weeks to be ready to harvest. Hopefully the weather won't be too harsh by then.
