Be sure if your state requires you to be licensed to be a hairdresser and have continuing education credits to keep your license that you follow their guidelines and take only approved classes.
That said if you are just doing it for fun, there are lots of classes out there. Be sure to talk to people who took the class and get feedback before investing in something like this as they can be pricey. Check with the better business bureau too. Here are a few links:

Where I live, you couldnt get a job in a salon without a license. If you want a license, contact a beauty school.
If you just want it for yourself and friends go to a store, buy extensions and ask for help to put them on. There are also lots of videos and help online.
