Hair Turned Pink when Dyed?

Hair Turned Pink when Dyed? - pinkish hue to hairI used to use henna and it wasn't staying as long as I liked so this lady at Sally's said I could use Clairol's Beautiful, it was a rinse so my hair wouldn't turn a funny color. Wrong! Now my hair is a bit pink and copper and a little purple. I want my brown back what can I do? I used Suyra cream henna before I tried this Clairol Beautiful. Just so you know what kind of henna I used.

There are a few things you can do to try and remove the color from your hair. One is to use dandruff shampoo to clean your hair. What you will do is use a 1 to 1 ratio of baking soda and dandruff shampoo. Wash your hair and leave this on for a few minutes before washing it out. This is one of the best ways to get the temporary color out of your hair and get it back to the original color that you want.

WOW!! I love the color!! My hair is so icky and mousy that I would love to be able to have something like that!! Sorry you are not happy with it!

Hair health is really important so please contact a professional before you do any more DIY fixes. They may tell you to leave it be for a few weeks and let it rest (not sure how much you have done to your hair before, but your hair looks like mine--thinnish which usually means fragile.). That is what I gather from the photos--so if I am wrong, I apologize.

The other thing I suggest is to tell the Clairol people you were unhappy with their product and what it did. They really can't DO anything about that...but they may give you a refund.

Hope you find a good solution!!

Contact a professional , you do not want to keep adding different products to fix this through advice from different people . It could be so many reasons for this . For example- Medication, your body chemistry, application process, out of date product, hard water, the list goes on.

The best part is , that it is a rinse. Go to someone who specializes in this. In return they will look at your hair and assist from there.

Maybe you're trying different solutions without giving enough time in between for hair to return to normal.
I agree that your hair looks thin and probably fragile so it may not react the same as others even under the same conditions.
I'm not familiar with hair coloring but it does seem that a visit to a professional would be the best step.
Maybe tolerate what you have for a little while to give your hair and scalp a probably well needed rest.
