This was my first attempt at making a man's tie. I made it out of fabric that matched my daughter's homemade Easter skirt. Her boyfriend wore this tie for Easter to go with her skirt. Turned out great!

Supplies:
- tie fabric
- lining fabric
- thread
- needle
- bias tape
- sewing machine
- scissors
Steps:
- Print out pattern pieces and pin to fabric and cut. Repeat with lining. Two pieces for each.
- Sew together the diagonal part of the fabric and the lining pattern pieces to join together. Pin lining, right sides together, on pointed ends of the top and bottom pieces and repeat with fabric pieces. Sew pointed ends only of the lining and fabric and turn and press.
- Fold in half along the long edge of the sides right sides together. Pin and sew. Press seams open. Turn right side out. Add 3" piece of bias tape, ends folded in l/4 inch. Pine 8 1/2 from bottom of tie. Hand tack in place.
- Press entire tie.
