I live in a very nice manufactured home park. We put our trash out the night before like everyone else. However, they pick up the trash anywhere between 7am and 4pm. Sometimes it's hard to tell without multiple trips out to lift the lid.
Now, by leaving a bit of the yellow or red bag handle out, I know when it's been picked up just by looking out the window. On blustery wet days, this is a real help.

Yeah, I can always tell if it's picked up. The can is not where I put it originally or the lid is hanging on the back.
Oh...sorry ladies. How about asking them to be a bit kinder? I know it's their equipment but it's your money. I guess the big grabber arms lack the human touch huh?

I don't know why there are those who insist on a thumbs down. I have never done it even though I might not agree with someones post. You can be kind even if you don't understand or like something...or simple leave the keyboard alone. But thanks for all my thumbs up!!
There are reasons I would give a thumbs down, mainly because I think that the idea could be harmful or dangerous somehow. But I would be more likely to point this out in the comments instead.
