Local Strawberries in season are like fresh multivitamins! :) Like any foods, they should be consumed in moderation but to give you an idea, 1 cup of fresh strawberries contains : Aprox. 45 calories, 144% of your daily Vitamin C requirement (based on a 2000 calorie diet), Potassium, Fiber and a few more vitamins in smaller quantities such as: Riboflavin, Copper, Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Selenium & Iron. Enjoy! I eat them daily during the season too and usually put them in smoothies.
