Unfortunately, your entire home is probably in different stages of mold exposure and growth, not just your garage. Just because you can see a very large area of mold only in your garage ceiling does not mean other areas of your home are not affected. Considering the large amount that shows on the garage ceiling and to protect your family's health, you should immediately have a professional residential home inspection by an industrial hygienist to assess the entire problem and recommend how to remove the mold.
At this point, the only way to remove the mold from your house is with professional help. Any DIY suggestions you may find online or from others will not address your entire house.
It varies by region, but in many areas you are allowed to treat mold with bleach as long as it is not over a certain size, say 4 sq. feet. You may want to look for leaks in your roof.
From the photo, I think you have a bigger issue than just the mold. You have a leak somewhere. If this is a leaky roof issue, you need to get it repaired. If there is a second story over this garage, you might have some sort of plumbing issue, which is likely even more problematic.
