I have a portable electric heater. It just started shutting down while plugged into 3 specific outlets in one room. It works fine plugged into other outlets in the same room. Other things work fine plugged into those same outlets. Just the heater trips out. It does not trip the circuit breaker. What could the problem be?

The heater uses too much wattage for the outlets it is not working on. Dont use those outlets or upgrade your electricity.
I believe Judy is correct about the wiring.
I do not know how old your house/apartment/mobile home may be but wiring and codes have changed several times over the past few years and older wiring may be your problem.
Sometimes electricians only ran a wire to one outlet in a room and then later someone else came along and "updated" the room by adding several more outlets.
The original wiring may not have been sufficient for the new outlets or the additional wiring may not have been the correct wire for this to work with a high voltage appliance.
I am not sure you should use this heater even if it works on one or two outlets, but then, I respect all things about electricity and leave it to trained people.
There is probably a safety "breaker" in the heater that cuts it off before it reaches the circuit breaker.
you always want to use an electric heater by itself in the circuit (unless it's only shared with something like a 60 watt bulb lamp
you also only want to use a heater plugged into the wall v/ thru a extension cord or splitter
