Last summer right after my husband had a severe stroke, our house (36 foot camper) burned down due to a faulty brand new generator that caught fire. We began litigations, lawyer said because my husband followed all their safety instructions, it was a sure thing...until the fire and electrical experts couldn't come to an agreement so we couldn't go to court.
We've been living in our UHaul box truck because we literally lost every single thing. All our savings, valuables, etc, EVERTHING we worked our whole lives for. Red Cross immediately gave us about $500. Since then I've applied to FEMA but it they won't help because it was not a "declared disaster" I keep trying these grant sites but they are all bs. They just keep me going around in circles.
Are there any real programs that will actually help us get back on our feet or at least one foot to start? I'm not looking to get rich I just would like to receive enough to have the very basic human necessities. I don't want to get into major debt by applying for a loan I can't pay for but it's looking like my only option. I've even created a page on fundly but it's to no avail.

This is a sad situation but you have probably found out that it is not as easy to get help as some people make out.
You did not provide enough information for anyone to be able to pinpoint an agency that specializes in a particular service.
This may look like a long list but most of this information will have to be answered anytime you apply for assistance, as your answers will determine whether that agency will help you.
As to actual cash? Most likely, the $500 you received from Red Cross is the only cash you will ever receive from any agency.
No one doles out cash (other than a few dollars to tide you over for a few days).
I would advise you to contact your local Habitat office. You will need some sort of steady monthly income, but not necessarily a job. They look at everything and they will help you if you can qualify but you can only find out by asking.
Another agency that will help but only if you qualify. HUD has several programs but it's usually best if you can visit in person.

Your Family Agency (known under different names) will also help you find help if you make a personal visit.
Family Services - your zip
There are several local places that will help provide clothing and food but only for short term basis.
I hope you can find help soon.
Go to the local office of Salvation Army, HUD office, local church and ask help.
A church could help. You or a friend could also start a gofundme
Your house (36 foot camper) burned down, but do you have a job? You need to find a job urgently. Because then you can contact Habitat for Humanity. This is a nonprofit organization, they have programs that help people buy a home, there are monthly house payments but they are lower than most mortgages.
Ask your family, loved ones, friends, neighbors, social worker, local community groups, local church, mosque or temple, local businesses for help.
Recovering from a house fire is difficult, but many people have dealt with a similar situation, so you too can do the same and emerge stronger, even when you have lost everything. Fires can be traumatic for your entire family, take care of everyones emotional needs. Contact your local crisis counseling facilities, especially the nonprofits. They will provide you with the psychological help you need to cope with the fire and its effects.
