I just bought this set from the thrift store for $50 and I'm so curious to see what the pattern is and what year they are from. Any info appreciated! I am not planning to resell, we are going to use them for our wedding and keep them for special occasions.

The name of your Homer Laughlin set is Hudson Pattern H111.
Hudson is a copy of a French Haviland line, was first offered in 1908. www.laurelhollowpark.net/
The back-stamp (mark) of Homer Laughlin is a Date Stamp and Factory of Origin Code. The mark on your photo was used in late 1920s. The first Letter D in your mark is the month of manufacture - April (A - January, B - February, etc.). The 5 is the year 1925 (1=1921, 2=1922,...).
You did not indicate how many pieces you have. People sell it with the price: 4 Coffee Cups $12.5, 6 Soup Bowls $20-30
You can check the prices here: www.ebay.com/
This is Home Laughlin's H111. If the plates have a scalloped shape, it is known as "Hudson".
They will often be confused by sellers so search both ways--mostly miss-called Hudson because it is a real name vs. the numeric name Replacements assigns pieces they can't quite categorize.
On eBay and Etsy, I also frequently just see them called Gold Leaf floral border Homer Laughlin.
Their value is what someone will pay, so you paid $50 and will have a lovely set to use for your wedding and future dinners together! That makes them priceless. You can see if you look at eBay solds that pieces sell for as low as $1.00 a piece and up. Sadly fine china has lost so much "value" in the resale world because many people don't want to be bothered.
Your pieces are not going to be microwave safe (I say who cares, but many people care) so that "devalues" them to them and drives prices down. So sad!
If you need to buy serving pieces in the future, I suggest looking just under the term Gold Leaf floral border Homer Laughlin to find them. They are all over the place in selling prices so focus on sellers with good feedback and look carefully at the pieces so you know exactly what you are getting regarding crazing and chips. Be sure to request they double box anything they ship so you get it in one piece! These are fragile!
Enjoy and have a blessed and lovely life together!!!
I believe your set was made during April, 1925 and produced in Newell, West Virginia.

Replacements- a leading distributor of Fine china and and collectables has a few pieces of this Homer Laughlin "Hudson" china. This delicate white with gold trim has low inventory, even on sites that are selling.
Since your pattern has been identified as Hudson Pattern H111 you should be able to add to your service almost anytime and at a reasonable cost.
Your plate looks to have a lot of crazing so be sure to try to find replacement pieces that are in better condition.
This is a lovely set and is going to be used as a setting for a wedding - what an honor...
Good luck with everything.
