A brown stuffed animal. Hi, I'm here to ask for help in identifying this stuffed animal. Name? What movie/show is it from? I believe it's from the 80's as in this photo, it's 1988.

This character is from the Rainbow Brite series that was broadcast on June 27,1984. en.wikipedia.org/.../rainbow_brite - Character name is-Lurky . He was very close friends of Murky. Lurky loved to embrace all colors with Rainbow, but his friend Murky was different to his choices. rainbowbrite.fandom.com/.../lurky - The franchise was short but not before being popular with figurines, books, cartoons, movie and more!

I know I have seen this before and my first thought was that it belonged to the Seasame Street character collection but they did not wear shoes like the one that is pictured here. I would suggest that you try to post this on Facebook because they do have some vintage took groups there that might be able to help you identify this.

I looked through so many vintages stuffed toys from the early to later 1980s but this was not one of the toys listed.

After 5-6 days of hard searching and asking everyone I finally found out where its from!! Hes called Lurky from Rainbow Brite (1983)

I do not remember this one but maybe if another member, Pghgirl, checks in later she will probably know exactly who this is.
You do not mention a tag and this is not the best picture for identification so that makes it very difficult to research.

Is this an older picture or can you provide a full picture and also the size of your 'animal'?
I'm not sure any of the forums can help you if this is the only pictures but some of the people are really good so if you do not receive answers you might want to post your question on some of these sites.

My best guess is to start with the Sesame Street character Snuffleupagus by Applause (that is the brand). They are one of the ones that used those bug eyes in their plush. I can't remember if Applause was the official producer for Sesame Street or if there were others. We sold the Applause at the stores where I worked.

Thanks for this information.
I knew he was on Sesame Street somewhere but could not remember his name.
The problem I've found is when looking at the picture he does not look like any of the Snuffleupagus characters I could find online.
They all seem to be really furry all over (I know this one is old and well played with but not real sure). Does this one have shoes? Were they added?
