My mom and dad, have been living on church property for 25 years. They really need a renovation. How could they get help? My dad is on disability; would that help? They need major repairs done.

If the organization the previous reply mentioned is the same one I am thinking of they won't do renovation. Renovation is basically the same thing as a remodel and that isn't a necessity. They will do repairs and some changes that are necessary because of disability, etc. That being said, you also have to stay in the house for a specified number of years or else pay the money they used for the repairs on a pro-rated basis. Also, does the church property where the house is located own the house, and if so shouldn't the church be making the repairs?
I believe most agencies will not offer any assistance as your parents do not "own" their home - undoubtedly the church owns the home and property. The church has the responsibility to maintain their property so they are the ones who would have to ask for assistance with repairs.
Do your parents live "free" on this property? If so, then repairs by your dad may have been included as part of the "rent" of the house.
From my church experiences housing is furnished for varying reasons so we have no way to know what the original agreement was. But - 25 years!! Looks like some repairs would/could have done along the way.
