Helping Dog Deliver Puppies?

During delivery does a placenta come out after each pup or only once? and how will I know if she's having trouble like the pup is backwords or stuck? how long do I wait before I know something is wrong?

Each puppy has its own cord. But there will only be one after birth. It can take a span of several hours to have all the puppies. Usually if there is something wrong, momma will be distressed and you can tell. Don't confuse her distress with being uncomfortable, as she will be uncomfortable.

There is an umbilical cord for each puppy.
