This is what is sometimes called a rooster. It will eventually form flowers, then that part of the plant will die. But the hole will fill in with another hen.
This is quite normal and nothing to be alarmed about. The taller plant you are seeing is the rooster. This rooster will give flowers really soon. They are really beautiful and look so nice.
