I'm 16 years old and graduating very soon (within a couple months). I am having a graduation party this summer and need some more ideas. My personality is kind of earthy meets glam rock (confusing, I know).
Here's what I have so far: lace, faux leather (due to my veganism), chains, studs, feathers, paper lanterns, old records, black, silver, white, dark blue, baby blue, baby pink, creme Victorian-esque.
I am really inspired by the videos "For Your Entertainment" by Adam Lambert, "Tea Party" by Kerli, and "Can't Be Tamed" by Miley Cyrus. (I am aware these are all "pop" songs, but just watch the videos and you'll know what I mean.)
As for music, I have all kinds of stuff, including The Ready Set, Landon Pigg, Queen, Backseat Goodbye, The Pipettes, A Day to Remember, Lady Gaga, The Hush Sound, et cetera. I am very influenced by the "60s and 80s".
Does anyone have any more ideas that may help out with my party? Any ideas at all are appreciated. Sorry for this question being so long.

Obtain and print out old photos of you and particularly you with other people who will be at the party. Put these photos on the napkins or plates or scatter them around. A graduation party in essence celebrates the successful passage of time together with people you care about. Acknowledge that in the decorations. It makes for heart-felt conversations. If you remember any good ones, write quotes from you or your guests under the pictures. (05/22/2010)
