I use Dollar Tree bags for trash. I love that I can seal it around the edges with a rubber head band. However, it billows inside and sometimes causes the trash to poke a hole or two in the bag.
So I beat it to the punch. I poke a hole near the top, push out the air around the bag and it works great. Hope that helps!

I use egg cartons turned upside down in the bottom of the bags. If I put them in before pulling the top of the bag over the garbage can. The egg cartons keep the bag open and give it a little more strength in the bottom. I use the dozen size but turn it upside down. If it is an eighteen size I tear the two sections apart and use them in two separate bags.
