I have needed help for over 2 years now. I got some of the stuff I need to do the work, but not all and am out of money and need the job done right. I live in a older trailer I bought. Someone told me the wiring needs redoing. The house almost caught on fire because of one wire. Now I don't have power in some of the rooms. Does anyone know where I might get help?

Getting free electrical work is usually one of the more difficult help areas (and plumbing) because this type of work can only be done by a licensed person and permits have to be obtained before any work can be done.
- Some older trailers cannot be partially repaired which means all wiring may have to be replaced.
- Permits cost extra money and your county/city may not even allow minor repairs but would require a new box as well as all new wiring.
- Even then, if there are other problems with your trailer, the permit may not be given until everything is brought up to "par".
- You can check with Habitat for Humanity as they may be doing some of this type of work in your area.

- There are other agencies that offer help but there is generally a long waiting list.

HUD.org, Habitat for Humanity or a church
