There is absolutely NO safe home remedy for mange. Demodectic mange (non-contagious) nor Sarcoptic mange (highly contagious) can be distinguished without a skin test. Both are caused by mites that cause an infection on the skin which akin to being burned. Do not pour motor oil on your animal! This is an old country "remedy" that makes the infection worse and can easily be fatal. You need a bathing dip from your vet and antibiotics.
You definitely need to take your dog to the vet, ASAP. Your dog is suffering and he needs to start treatment like yesterday.
Some people can't afford the vet. Just like most people can't even afford to go to the doctor. Think first before you speak. The world doesn't see things only your way.
I have already spent over $1,000.00 at the vet; and it cleared her up, but guess what the mange has returned. I'm retired on a fixed income so I can keep spending $1,000.00 for a treatment for mange!
Use a flower of sulfur mixed with petrolium jelly. Mix until light yellow. Also add a teaspoon of sulfur to the her food if small dog or a tablespoon if a big dog.
