I would contact Habitat for Humanity.
If you can do some sort of barter with someone that can do the repairs this is a great way to get them done. Place an ad on Craigslist or alike (they have a barter) section. Example: I will wash your clothing or watch your kids for repairs on _____ fill it in.
Telling someone on disability to barter by washing someone else's clothes is so ridiculous. For God's sake these people are desperate enough for help that they are posting on her. Get off your duffs and get them some real help
