In 1997 I left a live of drugs and all that goes with it. For the last 18 years I'm drug free and own some property in Harrison country. It came with an older 1973 single wide with no running water. I have tried to make it livable, got the water working, and have done hit and miss repairs. The local church put a front porch on for us. We have holes in our floors and have had a mice problem for a year, spring and fall are the worst. The back door it sledded shut and most windows don't open.
The property is paid for, taxes up to date, and we are not afraid of hard work. I need help to start a safe place for my two grandchildren to live with me and my son.
I get widow's benefits and my son works. I have a group of people willing to help, but just need to know how to start. Most rainy nights only half the lights work.

I would suggest that you start with HUD in your area. They help low income families fix homes. There are also a few government programs that might help also.
Here is some very helpful information about Section 504 Home repair grants: www.rd.usda.gov/
