This is a pretty complicated project. I have so much on my mind, like buying a car and building a tiny home. Saving is my one priority in reaching these goals. Then I came up with the idea of making a house shaped like a money bank which is divided into two compartments. One is for coins and the other side for the paper bills.
Supplies:
- any small square box
- scissors and cutters
- wrapping paper of your choice
- glue
- Scotch tape
- ruler
Steps:
- Cut the box into half. Secure the sides with tape.
- Remove this part of the other half of the box. (see photo)
- Cut it in half and attach in the center of the first half. This will serve as a divider. One side will have the coins and the other side will contain the paper bills.
- Now, cover the open space with the second half. Secure the sides with tape.
- Form the top portion like a house roof.
- Neatly cover the whole house with wrapping paper.
- Now, let's go focus on the roof top. Draw a 3x3 cm square and carefully cut it out with a cutter.
- Remove and cut more of this size out of cardboard clippings.
- Wrap with wrapping paper.
- Attach these squares around the sides of the square cut on the roof top to form a chimney.
- The top of the chimney should have a straight hole in it. This is where the coins will be inserted.
- Next, cut another 3x3 cm square on the other side of the roof in line with the chimney.
- Attach a mini roof to make it look like a small window on the roof. Leave a bigger hole for the paper bill to fit in.
- The money bank is now ready. Just add some little details like door and windows.
