Are these safe to flush into the sewer?

No. New York City's sewers are clogged with these things and a Minnesota city is suing 6 companies that make 'flushable' wipes that have caused clogged sewers. You can check out these links: nymag.com/
If you don't think you'd put it in a septic system then best not to put it into the city mains.
Do you have to use the baby oil? Does that keep them moist longer?
