Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 105 Posts
Everyone loves chocolate sauce on their ice cream or other desserts. I know how much my goddaughter loves to add the chocolate sauce I make to her milk when she comes to visit. She loves to heat up her milk in the morning and add the sauce to her milk for breakfast. Try some today and you'll be surprised how much the kids will love this.
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 6 Minutes
Total Time: 10 to 12 Minutes
Yield: 1 1/4 Cup Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 pinch salt

Steps:
- In a mixing bowl, add all your dry ingredients and mix together.

- In a saucepan, mix the milk, butter and vanilla together.

- Put the saucepan on the stove on medium-low heat and heat the milk until the butter is melted.

- Slowly pour in the dry ingredients while stirring the pan.

- Allow this to cook for 3 minutes until it thickens.

- Store in sealed jars in your refrigerator. This can keep up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator. I know it can keep longer, but I prefer to not keep it longer than 3 weeks.
