I was tired of trying to find an eye makeup remover that was affordable, didn't have a lot of chemicals, and didn't burn my eyes.
I learned that a simple way to remove eye makeup was as easy as using three items I already had. Olive oil, witch hazel, a plastic container and I was good to go!
This recipe makes one cup of eye makeup remover. The plastic tube container in the photo holds about 1/2 cup. Ratio of oil to witch hazel can be adjusted, depending on desired amount of moisturizing.
Total Time: It only takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Yield: 1 cup of eye makeup remover

This is a great idea! However, I always use a wash cloth soaked in warm water. I just hold it in place for a few minutes and hold it under the faucet when it cools .... It takes a few minutes to remove everything but I only wear make up on very special occasions so I don't mind the extra effort. The best part is .... no itchy, irritated eyes.
I would be too impatient since I wear makeup every day! The olive oil helps moisturize around my eyes and the combo doesn't burn. Thanks for your comment.
