This recipe was easy to do and great tasting. My son loves peanut butter cups so he was glad I tried these.

Ingredients:

1 jar of creamy peanut butter

1-2 lb. of chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
4-6 Tbsp. of melted butter
cooking spray
mini cupcake papers

Directions:

Melt butter. Empty peanut butter in bowl and mix with powdered sugar. Mix in butter and set aside.

Melt chocolate. Put cupcake liners on baking sheet and mist with cooking spray. Spoon melted chocolate into cup cake liners. Place in fridge for 10 minutes.

Put peanut butter mix into cooled chocolate cups. Then use the remaining chocolate to spoon on top of peanut butter mixture. Put in fridge for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Servings: 30 cups

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

I think it was here (Thriftyfun.com newsletter) that I saw a recipe for Homemade Peanut Butter Cups. Well, I copied it and printed it but now I have misplaced it. Does anybody out there have a recipe? I need it for next weekend for my husband's birthday party.

Couldn't find the one on Thriftyfun, but this may be what you are looking for.
REESES PEANUT BUTTER TEMPTATIONS
1 bag Reeses Peanut butter cups --unwrapped

Cream 1/2 cup each of marjarine, white sugar, peanut butter & Brown sugar til smooth.
Add 1 egg, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 3/4 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt & 1 1/2 cups flour. Blend til smooth.
Press small amt (maybe 1 tsp)of dough into small muffin tin cup that has been lined with paper liner.
Bake 350 degree for 10 mins.
Have Reeses unwrapped, and when cookies come out of oven press 1 peanut butter cup in center of each cookie. When chocolate is melted press a piece of pecan on top. cool 10 mins--remove from pan.
*(If cookies seem to big or too small, adjust how much dough you put in cup. Haven't made for a while and I forget how much per muffin cup)

These are EXTREMELY good and taste just like "Reese's":

PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE BALLS

Step 1:

1/4 bar Parafin wax
1 (12oz) package of chocolate chips

Melt the chocolate chips in saucepan
Cut the wax into pieces and add to the melted
chocolate
Keep melted chocolate/wax mixture warm.

Step 2:

2 sticks of butter
2 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
5 1/4 cups Powdered Sugar

mix together and form 1 inch balls

Using toothpick, dip balls into chocolate mixture

Lay on wax paper and chill until firm

HERE ARE A COUPLE RECIPES:
PEANUTBUTTER CUPS
1 1/2CUPS PEANUTBUTTER, SMOOTH
1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE, SOFTENED
2 CUPS ICING SUGAR
1 TSP. VANILLA
-----------
2 CUPS SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPITS
1/3 CUP PARAFFIN(WAX) GRATED

MIX THE FIRST 4 INGR. AND SHAPE INTO SMALL BALLS.*
MELT CHIPITS AND PARAFFIN IN DOUBLE BOILER.

DIP BALLS INTO CHOCOLATE AND PLACE ON WAXPAPER.
*WHEN I MAKE THEM I USE SMALL CUPCAKE CUPS
I LINE THEM UP AND PUT A SMALL AMOUNT OF CHOCOLATE IN THE BOTTOM OF EACH CUP, JUST ENOUGH TO COVER THE BOTTOM. INSTEAD OF MAKING THE PEANUTBUTTER MIXTURE INTO BALLS I MAKE THEM INTO SMALL FLAT PATTIES. ONCE THE CHOCOLATE IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CUPCAKE CUP, PLACE A PEANUTBUTTER PATTY IN EACH ONE THEN POUR CHOCOLATE JUST ENOUGH TO COVER.
ENJOY.

THE SECOND RECIPE IS FOR:
COCONUT LOGS
2 CUPS ICING SUGAR
2 CUPS FLAKED COCONUT
2 TBS MILK
1 TBS. BUTTER OR MARGARINE
--------
1 CUP SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPITS
3 TBS. PARAFFIN
THESE ARE MADE THE SAME AS THE PEANUTBUTTER CUPS. THE RECIPE CALLS FOR THEM TO BE SHAPED LIKE SMALL LOGS, BUT CAN ALSO BE MADE IN THE CUPCAKES CUPS.

THESE RECIPES MAKE A LOT. THE DOUGH CAN BE FROZEN IF YOU HAVE TOO MUCH.
