I am looking for a popover recipe. My mom made them when we were little. I tried a recipe this morning however they did not turn out as high as the popovers my mom made. Her's looked like chef's hats when they were finished and had a beautiful color. My recipe turned out round on top and not quite browned.

It might not be the recipe. Not quite browned sounds like your oven wasn't hot enough. The oven has to be preheated to a high temp--around 450.
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 eggs
pinch of salt
tbsp oil
preheat oven to 450. Cover 12 muffin cup muffin pan with oil. Put in oven til oil smoking. Put batter in each cup. Cook for 15 to 20 min then reduce heat to 375 and cook for another 15 min. Hope this helps
These tasty popovers work well for either a meal, with sides, or as a snack. And they are easy enough for older kids to make themselves. This is a page about ham and cheese popovers.
