Homemade Rose Start Up Tonic

March 13, 2017

A rose bush with dark pink roses.I got this from my Jerry Baker gardening book. I have used this tonic with great results. Here is his unique tonic:

  • 1 Tbsp. liquid dish soap

  • 1 Tbsp. hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 Tbsp. whiskey
  • 1 tsp. vitamin B plant starter
Mix all ingredients in 1/2 gallon of warm tea, then pour around the root zone
of each plant.

I have added a picture of the book and my roses.

I have used this for several years. Buy your vitamin B plant starter from Lowes and share it with 25 of your friends.
