I am looking for a recipe for homemade shampoo. I would like something that adds some body and healthiness to my hair. Anyone have any suggestions? Something easy!

I've never had any luck with anything I've tried! I even tried the standard "wash your hair with an egg," and it was icky. (08/24/2008)

A good homemade recipe my grandmother told me is: lemon juice, lime juice, water, flour, mayonnaise. Mix all of it together and it cleans your hair really thoroughly. 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of lemon and lime juice, a tablespoon and a half of mayo, half a cup of flour, and mix it until smooth. Apply as you would a regular shampoo! (09/05/2008)

Actually you aren't supposed to use a whole egg, just the yolk. Beat a couple of yolks with a little water. Rub it into your hair. Add some cool to lukewarm water, not hot, don't want to cook it on your hair. Massage well and rinse out with cool to lukewarm water. Actually works great, you only get a foam, not an actual lather. Mix about 2 Tbls. of Castile shampoo with 20 oz. of water. Then you may add a few drops of essential oil, lemon, tea-tree, or chamomile if you prefer. (10/09/2008)

I use about 1/4 cup of baking soda, mix with water to make a paste. Wash hair with this. Rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar. Your hair will be soft. Put apple cider vinegar in your bathwater too. (03/15/2009)
