Does anyone have a recipe for homemade dry taco seasoning that you mix with the ground meat? Thanks!

Recipe In storage container with tight-fitting lid, combine all ingredients; mix well. Seal tightly. Store in cool, dry place for up to 6 months. Makes about 1/2 cup. Combine and add to cooked drained beef (or cooked shredded chicken) with 1/2 cup water, stir. Simmer for about 10 min. stirring occassionally. We prefer this to store bought any day!

I don't know how much it would cost in ingredients to make your own taco seasoning. I suppose if you make tacos a lot then making yourself could be worth it; however I really like the McCormick taco seasoning packet and I can get on sale. I'd just as soon buy that then spend my time making it. I was very interested in the Taco Bell seasoning recipe tho as I love the way their taco meat tastes!
