eye glass cleaner is mainly designed to de-streak glasses. They probably have some ammonia content, therefore since a lot of glass cleaner does. So saying, it is probably not good for what you want it for.

I dont believe it would have a high enough alcohol content to be effective, but it might be better than nothing

No there is not enough alcohol to kill germs.

These do not work well at all. You can just use plain soap and water to wash your hand. You are better protected like this than to use these wipes. There are a lot of sites right now that tell you the alcohol content in household products is not high enough and you are not doing a good job cleaning your hands if you use these.

They recommend that you jsut wash your hands with hot water and soap to protect yourself.

Call the company and ask. I would doubt it, but they will be able to tell you. Be safe!

I would question the manufacturer on how much alcohol is in it, as that is the key (to have enough of a high potency)

Hi, I tried to look up information on eyeglass cleaner to see what the average alcohol content is. Much of the information is proprietary but I did find this one safety data sheet about Zeiss lens cleaner

The sheet states that the mixture is about 94% water. This would leave the alcohol content to about 6%, way too little alcohol to have any effect on viruses. The CDC recommends at least a 60% alcohol solution for hand sanitizing. Washing with soap and water is still considered to be the most effective way to protect people.
