My Honda lawnmower is leaking gas from a little hole at the top of the carburetor whenever I have the gas line open. It ran fine for a few minutes, but now it won't run at all. I hadn't used it in a few months and it had the same gas in it that I put in a couple months ago, but it wouldn't work then. The leak wasn't the issue then so I just changed out the spark plug based on some suggestions and it cranked up on the first try. But now it's leaking from the carburetor top with the gas line open and won't crank.

The spark plugs probably keep saturating/flooding and that's why it won't run. They need to be dry. The hole needs to be fixed.
When I say hole I really mean its a little tube thats a manufactured part comingnright up the center of the body
There are others with the leaking problem, but it may help if you put your model number and research it on the web. There are a lot of forums online that have similar issues and people usually respond with solutions, good luck!

Thats just it there is no number to look up all it says on the body is the horsepower but its coming out of the air jet

I am the one who always goes right to the source. Perhaps the Honda customer service can get you the best answer. Be sure to ask if this could be related to a recall as that is a free fix typically!
